Strengthening the economy in Corner Brook

Organizations and community groups receive federal support

Corner Brook is a vital economic hub on the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, serving as a centre of industry, commerce and innovation. The Government of Canada is investing in projects in this region to help strengthen the local economy.

Federal investments boost region’s potential

Today, the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic

Development and Minister responsible for ACOA, announced total federal investments of $972,604 for seven projects in Corner Brook.

These investments will stimulate the economy and improve the life of Atlantic Canadians by helping organizations upgrade equipment and infrastructure and explore future opportunities. Funding will also support community groups and initiatives within the region.
