QUÉBEC CITY, Sept. 3, 2025 /CNW/ - The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable informs road users that the Québec Bridge will be closed to traffic from September 5 at 7 p.m. to September 7 at 8 p.m. This obstruction is necessary as part of the construction of the architectural walls of the future pedestrian link linking Avenue des Hôtels to the Sainte-Foy train station.
In addition, Saint-Louis Road, between Avenue des Hôtels and Villeray Street, will be closed in both directions from September 7 to 19 to continue its reconstruction.
These interventions are part of the project to redevelop the interchanges north of the Pierre-
Laporte and Québec bridges.Traffic management
Quebec Bridge
Friday, September 5, at 7 p.m., to Sunday, September 7, at 8 p.m.
Complete closure of the Québec Bridge, in both directions.
- The sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians and cyclists.
- A shuttle bus will be available for moped riders.
- Direction Quebec City: boarding at the Presqu'île station (intersection of rue de la Mission and rue de la Presqu'île).
- Direction Lévis: boarding at the land located north of the medical clinic, on Saint-Louis Road.
- Detour: Pierre-Laporte Bridge (open at all times during the obstruction)
REMINDER - Obstructions on Saint-Louis Road
The obstructions take place in three phases, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, according to the following schedule:
Until September 7
- Alternating traffic between Route 175 and Villeray Street.
September 7 to 19
Complete closure in both directions, between Avenue des Hôtels and Villeray Street.
- Detour:
- Eastbound: Liège Avenue, Neilson Boulevard, Hochelaga Boulevard, Lavigerie Avenue and Saint-Louis Road.
- Westbound: Lavigerie Avenue, Laurier Boulevard, Route 175 southbound and Saint-Louis Road.
From September 19 to October 24
- Traffic alternates between Route 175 and Villeray Street.
At all times during the work, access to businesses will be maintained via Chemin Saint-Louis. Pedestrians and cyclists will also be able to circulate. Signage will be installed to direct users.
