Maintenance work begins for Whistle Bend east stormwater pond

The Government of Yukon is draining the east stormwater retention pond in Whistle Bend. The work has begun and will be happening for approximately four weeks.

The pond collects stormwater from the Whistle Bend subdivision in Whitehorse. As part of regular stormwater system maintenance, the ponds need to be drained so they can continue functioning as intended.

The public can expect to find hoses along the trails leading to the stormwater pond and should use caution in the area.

The stormwater pond is located north of Whistle Bend, closer to the Yukon River.
