Major rehabilitation of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel - Complete night closures on Highway 25 between September 5 and 9

MONTRÉAL, Sept. 2, 2025 /CNW/ - The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable informs road users that complete night closures will be in place on Highway 25, in both directions, between September 5 and 9. These obstructions are required to carry out lighting work under the deck of the Sherbrooke Street overpass.

Please note that there are no planned closures of the Louis-Hyppolyte-La Fontaine tunnel from September 1to 8, 2025.

Night closures

Highway 25 toward Montreal

  • Complete closure of Highway 25 toward Montreal between exit 5 (Route 138, Sherbrooke Street, Yves-Prévost Blvd.) and the Sherbrooke Street East entrance, during the night of September 5 to 6, from Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m.
    • The Hochelaga Street entrance will be closed 30 minutes before the highway closes.
    • A detour will be set up on the service road.
  • Highway 25 toward the South Shore
  • Complete closure of Highway 25 toward the South Shore between exit 5 (Route 138, Hochelaga Street, Sherbrooke Street, Jacques-Cartier Bridge) and the Sherbrooke Street East entrance.
    • Night of September 7 to 8, from Sunday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.
  • Night of September 8 to 9, from Monday 10 p.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m.
    • A detour will be set up on the service road.

In the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints, these interventions may be postponed.
