Outremont launches its Climate Emergency Plan

Faced with the challenges posed by climate change, Outremont is taking action with the tabling of its Climate Emergency Plan.

The Plan is based on three main priorities:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through sustainable mobility, energy efficiency and waste reduction;
  • strengthen the resilience of the territory, through greening, sustainable stormwater management and the adaptation of infrastructure to new climate realities;
  • Engage the public by supporting local initiatives and organizing awareness-raising activities to encourage everyone's commitment.

Beyond the measures, it is the collective commitment that will make the difference. Together, we have the power to transform our territory into a model of ecological transition and climate solidarity.

Check out the Climate Emergency Plan and find out how you can actively participate with your ideas and initiatives. Be part of this essential transformation.
