Hon. Jenn Redmond, Minister of Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population, issued the following statement after the first week of post-secondary classes for the 2025 school year:
“As a new post-secondary year begins, we celebrate the return to campuses happening across PEI by our future leaders. Post secondary education is not only an academic journey, but a journey to build lifelong friendships, self-discovery and finding your passion and career path. We believe your future is bright and look forward to seeing you thrive.
This year, approximately 8,000 post-secondary students are pursuing studies across a wide range of programs. To all of you, thank you for your commitment to furthering your education and for the contributions you will bring to our province.
Our government is pleased to provide support through grants, bursaries, awards, and student loans to help ensure post-secondary education remains within reach for Island students.”
