MONTREAL, Sept. 3, 2025 /CNW/ - The Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) presents a fall program that is as tasty as it is colourful at the ITHQ Restaurant and the Blanc bec bar. Between gourmet collaborations, brewing or oenological experiences and humorous discoveries, autumn promises to be rich in experiences for lovers of gastronomy, culture and conviviality.

On September 5 and 6, the Restaurant de l'ITHQ is taking part in the Vitrines gourmandes,
25th anniversary of Les Pervenches vineyard
On Thursday, September 18, a unique evening will be held around the wines of a leading Quebec vineyard located in the Eastern Townships and recognized for its pioneering approach to biodynamics. A 5-course menu ($125) will be offered, with food and wine pairings (+$65), in the presence of winemakers Véronique Hupin and Michael Marler. An exceptional opportunity to meet the talented artisans behind Les Pervenches, crowned Winemaker or Beverage Producer of the Year 2025 at the Lauriers de la gastronomie québécoise.
On September 19 and 20 for the evening service, the Restaurant de l'THQ offers a sensory experience where the vibrant South will meet the Wild North thanks to a five-course tasting menu, created by its sous-chef, Manuel Jaramillo ($94, +$60 pairings), himself a native of Mexico. A unique marriage between the warmth of Mexican spices and the richness of local Quebec products.
From October 30 to November 8, the Cooking and Gastronomy graduating brigade, led by chef Riccardo Bertolino, will offer a menu specially designed for Montreal's fall gourmet event
Evening at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
On Saturday, October 25, the ITHQ Restaurant will be transformed into the Great Hall of Hogwarts, the main common room of the most famous school of witchcraft and wizardry in the world. Just in time for Halloween, it will be an opportunity to enjoy a menu that is as magical as it is delicious!
WHITE BAR BEAK
Starting Tuesday, September 23, Le Blanc bec will be open from Tuesday to Saturday, offering even more opportunities to enjoy its friendly atmosphere and its exceptional menu, full of local products!
Our Alumni in the Spotlight! | Throughout the month of September, the Blanc bec bar will feature Dunham Brewery's Cyclops beer (classic IPA) at a discounted price ($8).
A great way to highlight the career of Simon Gaudreault-Rouleau, a sommelier graduate from the ITHQ, responsible for the development of thirst at Brasserie Dunham and a long-time partner.
On September 10, starting at 7:30 p.m., six up-and-coming comedians and two hosts will take over the Blanc bec bar for a new festive edition ($10) of the Comedy Evenings. Laughter will erupt at the touch of the humour of: Isabelle Gaumont, Francis Legendre, Guillaume Pelletier, Jacob Trépanier, Jean-Michel Elie, Mélodie Bujold-Henri and hosts Tristan Dugan and Purushotham Pondi, a recent ITHQ graduate. Two other events are on the program of the Blanc bec to relax with young comedians on October 14 and November 12.
Trends to discover | SAQ Workshops by ITHQ
From September 17 to December 10, the Ateliers SAQ by ITHQ, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this fall, will hold nine evenings of the Tendances series at Le Blanc bec on the following themes: Thirst-quenching whites, The road to the south, Thirst-quenching reds, Volcanic terroirs, The art of the aperitif.
Quiz nights
Once a month this autumn, the bar will continue the tradition and offer quiz nights according to different themes:
- September 23: Quiz qu'on produced in Quebec?, on the occasion of the week "Institutions eat local", organized by aliments du Québec.
- October 28: Wizard Quiz, Halloween special.
- 18 November: Quiz at the table, on gastronomy.
- 9 December: Christmas film quiz, to end the year in a good mood.
Our Alumni in the Spotlight! | Round Pigs and Wino Import
In October and November, the company of our culinary graduate Laurence Frenette will be showcased by Le Blanc bec, while the charcuterie platter Les Cochons tout ronds will be on sale ($12).
In December, the bar will honour Martin Landry, a sommelier graduate from the ITHQ, and will offer, in partnership with his wine agency Wino Imports, an excellent Pet Nat at a low price.

For more than 50 years, the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) has been Canada's reference for specialized training in the fields of tourism, hospitality, restaurants and sommellerie. Meeting the highest industry standards, it is the only school in the country to offer programs at all three levels of education (vocational, technical and university).
