Quebec City is holding a referendum on residential development northeast of Carré De Tracy East on Sunday

Québec City, September 12, 2025 – The City of Québec would like to remind you that it is holding a referendum on Sunday, September 14, 2025, concerning residential development northeast of Carré De Tracy Est, in the borough of Charlesbourg.

Hours

10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There are 1,241 voters registered on the referendum list in the targeted sector, composed of

zones 43037Ha, 43038Fb, 43039Ra, 43040Aa, 43046Ha, 43047Aa, 43048Fb, 43058Aa, 43068Ha, 43069Ha, 43074Ha, 43076Ha and 43095Ha. Only these people have the right to vote.

To vote in the referendum, they will have to go to the polling place and present one of the following pieces of identification:

Electors will then be asked to answer "Yes" or "No" to the following question:

Do you approve the By-law amending the By-law of the Borough of Charlesbourg on urban planning with respect to zones 43037Ha, 43038Fb, 43039Ra, 43040Aa, 43047Aa, 43048Fb, 43058Aa, 43068Ha, 43069Ha, R.C.A.4V.Q. 241 (Le Bourg - Carré de Tracy East residential project)?

The referendum is valid regardless of the number of votes recorded. The largest number of "Yes" or "No" votes, cast in the ballot boxes, wins.

Dissemination of results
The results will be announced by press release on Sunday after the official count after the polls close. They will also be posted on Monday on the dedicated web page on the City's website.
